These Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Terms of Service") govern your access to and use of Zentia ("the App", "the Service", "we", "our", "us"), a personal finance management application.

By accessing or using Zentia, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, downloading, installing, or using Zentia, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use Zentia.

2. Description of Service

Zentia is a personal finance management application that allows users to:

  • Track income and expenses
  • Create and manage budgets
  • Monitor multiple financial accounts
  • Set up planned expenses and reminders
  • Generate financial reports and insights
  • Access AI-powered financial assistance and analysis (currently disabled, may be enabled in the future)
  • Synchronize financial data across multiple devices

Important:

Zentia is a personal finance tracking tool. It is NOT:

  • A banking institution or financial institution
  • A payment processor or money transmitter
  • An investment advisor or broker
  • A tax preparation service
  • A credit reporting agency

Zentia does not hold, transfer, or manage your money. We do not provide financial, legal, tax, or investment advice.

Beta and Experimental Features

Some features may be labeled as beta, experimental, or in testing. These features may contain errors, change without prior notice, or be discontinued at any time. Use of beta features is at your own risk.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use Zentia. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the Service.

Account Creation

To use Zentia, you must:

  1. Create an account by providing a valid email address and creating a secure password
  2. Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  3. Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate
  4. Maintain the security of your account credentials

Account Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
  • Any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these security obligations.

4. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Zentia only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

  1. Violate Laws: Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international laws or regulations
  2. Infringe Rights: Infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the rights of others
  3. Harmful Activities: Transmit any viruses, malware, or malicious code; Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems; Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers; Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
  4. False Information: Provide false, inaccurate, or misleading information
  5. Reverse Engineering: Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  6. Commercial Use: Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our express written consent. The App is intended for personal use only
  7. Data Mining: Extract, scrape, or collect data from the Service for purposes other than your personal use

Data Accuracy

You are responsible for:

  • Entering accurate financial information
  • Verifying the correctness of your transactions, budgets, and accounts
  • Keeping your financial data up to date

Zentia is not responsible for errors in financial data that you enter, or for decisions you make based on that data.

5. Financial Information and No Financial Advice

Informational Purpose Only

All features, insights, reports, analytics, and AI-generated content provided by Zentia are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute:

  • Financial advice
  • Investment recommendations
  • Tax advice
  • Legal advice
  • Professional financial planning

Your Financial Decisions

You are solely responsible for:

  • All financial decisions you make
  • Verifying the accuracy of information before making financial decisions
  • Consulting with qualified financial, tax, or legal professionals when appropriate
  • Understanding the implications of your financial choices

No Guarantees

Zentia does not guarantee:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information provided
  • That using Zentia will improve your financial situation
  • Specific financial outcomes or results
  • That the Service will meet your specific requirements

AI Features Disclaimer

Note: AI-powered features are currently disabled in Zentia. The following applies only if and when AI features are enabled in the future.

If AI features are enabled, our AI assistant would provide general information and insights based on your data. AI-generated content:

  • May contain errors or inaccuracies
  • Should not be relied upon as the sole basis for financial decisions
  • Does not replace professional financial advice
  • May not account for all relevant factors in your financial situation

We will notify users before enabling any AI features.

6. Subscription Plans and Payments

Free and Paid Plans

Zentia offers different subscription plans:

Free Plan

Includes basic features with the following limitations:

  • Maximum of 1 account
  • No custom categories (only default categories available)
  • Maximum of 1 budget
  • Maximum of 2 planned expenses
  • Transaction history limited to current month and 2 previous months (3 months total)
  • No web access
  • No data export functionality
  • No custom themes
  • May include advertisements

Zentia Plus

Premium subscription with unlimited access to all features:

  • Unlimited accounts
  • Unlimited custom categories
  • Unlimited budgets
  • Unlimited planned expenses
  • Unlimited transaction history
  • Web access
  • Data export functionality
  • Custom themes
  • Ad-free experience
  • Trial and paid options available

Subscription Terms

  • Subscriptions are auto-renewable and can be billed monthly or yearly
  • Yearly subscriptions offer discounted pricing compared to monthly subscriptions
  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law
  • We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice
  • Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled
  • If you upgrade to Zentia Plus during an active subscription, you will be reimbursed for the unused portion of your current subscription and only need to pay the difference for the higher tier
  • Downgrading from Zentia Plus to the Free Plan will take effect after the current billing period for Zentia Plus ends

Payment Processing

  • Payments are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Stripe's privacy policy is available at: https://stripe.com/privacy
  • You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate payment information
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method for all applicable fees
  • We are not responsible for errors made by payment processors
  • Prices do not include applicable taxes, which may be added according to your jurisdiction

Cancellation and Refunds

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. For mobile app subscriptions purchased through app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play Store), subscription management must be handled through the respective app store's subscription management system
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • The service will continue until the end of your current billing period after cancellation
  • Refunds are provided only as required by applicable law or at our sole discretion
  • No refunds for partial subscription periods

Trial Periods

  • Free trial periods, if offered, are subject to these Terms
  • You may be required to provide payment information to start a trial
  • If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the subscription
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue trial offers at any time

7. Intellectual Property Rights

Our Ownership

Zentia and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • The Zentia name, logo, and branding
  • Software code, design, and user interface
  • Documentation and materials
  • All content provided through the Service (except your user data)

Your Data Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to your financial data and content that you upload or enter into Zentia. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:

  • Store, process, and display your data to provide the Service
  • Use your data to generate insights, reports, and AI responses
  • Backup and maintain your data

License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • Access and use Zentia for your personal, non-commercial use
  • Download and install the app on your personal devices

This license does not include the right to:

  • Resell or redistribute the Service
  • Use the Service for commercial purposes
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works
  • Remove any proprietary notices or labels

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

  • We collect and process your data as described in our Privacy Policy
  • We implement security measures to protect your data
  • We do not sell your personal or financial data
  • You can request deletion of your data at any time

By using Zentia, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Service Availability and Modifications

Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee that Zentia will be:

  • Available at all times or without interruption
  • Free from errors, bugs, or defects
  • Compatible with all devices or operating systems
  • Secure from unauthorized access or attacks

Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time
  • Add or remove features
  • Change pricing or subscription plans (with notice)
  • Perform maintenance that may temporarily interrupt service

We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes when possible, but are not obligated to do so for all modifications.

Data Loss

While we implement backup and recovery procedures, we are not responsible for:

  • Loss of data due to technical failures
  • Data corruption
  • Unauthorized access leading to data loss
  • Service interruptions affecting data availability

We strongly recommend that you maintain your own backups of important financial data.

10. Limitation of Liability

Disclaimer of Warranties

ZENTIA IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
  • FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
  • NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF INFORMATION

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will meet your requirements
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • Results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • Defects will be corrected

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EXCEPT IN CASES OF GROSS NEGLIGENCE, FRAUD, OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, WE AND OUR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
  • Financial losses resulting from use of the Service
  • Losses arising from calculation errors, currency conversions, or incorrectly entered financial information
  • Decisions made based on information provided by Zentia
  • Errors or inaccuracies in data you enter
  • Service interruptions or unavailability
  • Unauthorized access to your account or data

Our total and cumulative liability for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Exceptions

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless us and our officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • Your use of Zentia
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another
  • Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations

12. Account Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time using one of the following methods:

Option 1: Delete Account via App (Recommended)

  1. Open the Zentia app and navigate to Settings
  2. Scroll to the "Account" section
  3. Tap "Delete Account"
  4. Enter your current password to confirm
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the deletion

Option 2: Delete Account via Email

  1. Contact us at support@zentiaapp.com with a deletion request
  2. Include your account email address for verification

Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service will be immediately suspended
  • Your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • You will not be entitled to any refunds for unused subscription periods

Fresh Start (Data Reset)

If you want to keep your account but delete all your financial data, you can use the "Fresh Start" feature:

  1. Open the Zentia app and navigate to Settings
  2. Scroll to the "Account" section
  3. Tap "Fresh Start"
  4. Enter your current password to confirm
  5. This will permanently delete all your transactions, accounts, categories, budgets, and planned expenses
  6. Your account will remain active, allowing you to start fresh

Important: The Fresh Start action cannot be undone. All deleted data will be permanently removed. This action does not terminate your account.

Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • You engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
  • You fail to pay subscription fees when due
  • We are required to do so by law
  • We discontinue the Service

Upon termination by us:

  • Your access will be immediately revoked
  • We may delete your account and data
  • You will not be entitled to refunds (except as required by law)

Effect of Termination

Upon termination of your account:

  • All rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease
  • You must stop using the Service immediately
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect

Inactive Accounts

We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that remain inactive for more than 24 months, after providing reasonable notice to the registered email address. An account is considered inactive if there has been no login activity or use of the Service for the specified period.

13. Third-Party Services and Links

Data Storage and Infrastructure

Zentia uses cloud-based infrastructure to store and synchronize your data:

  • Supabase: For authentication and data storage. Your data is stored securely using Supabase's cloud infrastructure, which is GDPR compliant and uses industry-standard encryption
  • Data is synchronized across all devices where you access Zentia using the same account
  • All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS

Other Third-Party Services

Zentia integrates with additional third-party services, including:

  • OpenAI: For AI-powered features (currently disabled, may be enabled in the future)
  • Stripe: For payment processing
  • Exchange Rate APIs: For currency conversion

These services have their own terms and conditions and privacy policies. We are not responsible for:

  • The practices of third-party services
  • The availability or functionality of third-party services
  • Data handling by third-party services
  • Any issues arising from third-party service failures

Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

App Store Terms

The App is subject to the standard terms and conditions set forth by the respective app stores:

  • For iOS users: Apple App Store Terms and Conditions
  • For Android users: Google Play Store Terms of Service

By downloading Zentia from an app store, you also agree to be bound by the applicable app store's terms and conditions.

14. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Argentina, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mendoza, Argentina.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protection rights under the laws of your country of residence.

Dispute Resolution Process

If you have a dispute with us, you agree to:

  1. Contact Us First: Attempt to resolve the dispute by contacting us at support@zentiaapp.com
  2. Good Faith Negotiation: Engage in good faith negotiations for at least 30 days
  3. Mediation (if applicable): If negotiation fails, participate in mediation before pursuing litigation
  4. Jurisdiction: Any legal action must be brought in the appropriate courts

Class Action Waiver

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that any disputes will be resolved individually and not as part of a class action, consolidated action, or representative proceeding.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:

  • We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms
  • For material changes, we will notify you through an email to the registered account address, an in-app notification, or a banner notice on our website

Your continued use of Zentia after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.

16. Miscellaneous

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or internet or telecommunications failures.

Feedback

Export Compliance and Sanctions

You represent and warrant that you are not located in any country that is subject to international sanctions or on any restricted persons list. You agree to comply with all applicable export control laws and regulations.

17. Acknowledgment

By using Zentia, you acknowledge that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms
  • You agree to be bound by these Terms
  • You are at least 16 years old (or have parental consent)
  • You will use Zentia in compliance with all applicable laws
  • You understand that Zentia does not provide financial, legal, or investment advice
  • You are solely responsible for your financial decisions

These Terms and Conditions are effective as of February 24, 2026 and apply to all users of Zentia.
